Frequently Asked Questions
I am a University Qualified Nutritionist who specialises in getting your body to function optimally. I do this by searching for root causes of your health issues, with functional testing, rather than just treating the symptoms.
I address the whole person, including your hormones, immune, digestion, detoxification and intestinal barrier systems. In order to restore balance to the systems of the body, I help you find the right healing diet, establish a healthy sleep routine, add in exercise & stress reduction recommendations, as well as prescribing natural supplementation protocols.
There is no “start” date for The RCP because we accept a limited number of women on a monthly basis. Your time in the program starts once you’ve paid. The reason for this is that we have to lay the groundwork BEFORE we get your tests back so that the supplements we start you on, according to your test results, “stick”.
For the first couple of weeks in the program whilst we await your test results, we focus on the right diet type for you, blood sugar balance, and nervous system/adrenal work.
If you don’t do these things first then the testing protocols won’t work as efficiently. These are the foundations that must be sturdy.
Once you’re all signed up you’ll receive the first week’s resources with all the guidelines you need to get started. Plus, you’ll get immediate access to the private Facebook group where Sheradyn is waiting to support you and answer all of your questions.
You get 4x 1:1 consults through out the program, your first one is an information gathering session with Sheradyn. We will go through the forms you filled out prior, and go through your symptoms and health history – this will ideally happen within the first 2-3weeks of the program.
The following consultations are spread out by 6-8weeks, depending on your testing time frames & when you start your gut healing / hormone protocols. These are your chances to ask specific questions on your tests (after watching the video), on your protocol, diet and supplements and make sure you feel confident moving forward.
Please remember you may have struggled with these symptoms for years, so it wont take a couple weeks to heal (sometimes not even a couple months). This is why there is a minimum 6month commitment for the RCP. Everyone heals at different rates, and it will also depend on the effort you put in. If you want to stay on beyond the 6months you can – joining the monthly membership will allow you to stay as long as you want (more below).
Most of our testing (besides blood tests) is able to be done at home, I will organize for the test kit to be sent to your house. Once I receive your results, I will record a video for you going through the results and your targeted protocol.
A Dutch test takes 6-8 weeks, and a GI MAP takes 2-3 weeks.
This is the gold standard of hormone testing, and costs $385 whole sale. If you want to learn why I use this test please listen to episode 32 on the Empowered Hormones Podcast.
The Dried Urine Test for Comprehensive Hormones (DUTCH) is just that: comprehensive! It goes above and beyond blood and saliva testing for HPA axis dysfunction (which used to be called “adrenal fatigue”) and not only shows free hormone levels (what’s unbound and available), but also the body’s production (what’s actually being made) and metabolites (where it’s going).
The DUTCH test boasts markers for DHEA, DHEA-S, free cortisol, metabolised cortisol, progesterone, estrogens, estrogen clearance pathways, testosterone and cortisone/cortisol preference. This test will also show fluctuations in the diurnal pattern (circadian rhythm) and give us clues as to what other areas of imbalance the body might be struggling with. It also has a marker for melatonin and 6 organic acid markers: HVA (dopamine), VMA (epinephrine), kynurenate (B6), MMA (B12), pyroglutamate (glutathione) and 8-OHdG (oxidative damage).
The DUTCH is an easy to collect urine test, done over a 24-hour period, and the amount of information it provides always amazes me
This is the gold standard of stool testing and costs $535 whole sale. If you want to learn why I use this test please listen to episode 9 on the Empowered Hormones Podcast.

SIBO stands for Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth. Normally, bacteria are found in the trillions in the large intestine, where they perform various symbiotic functions for the human body. SIBO is a condition where bacterial overgrowth occurs in the absorptive area of the body the small intestine. It is estimated that up to 80% of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) sufferers have SIBO.
Symptoms of SIBO can include:
- Alternating constipation and diarrhoea
- Abdominal cramping
- Bloating and/or wind
- Burping and Acid Reflux/GORD
- Food sensitivities
- Joint pain
- Skin rashes
- Iron and B12 deficiency
- Respiratory symptoms such as asthma
How can SIBO be tested?
SIBO can be tested with a simple, non-invasive breath test. After a 24 hours preparatory diet, a pleasant-tasting substrate, called lactulose, is swallowed. Lactulose is not absorbed in the small intestine and therefore it acts as a food source for bacteria, if they are abnormally present, in the small intestine.
The bacteria ferment the testing substance and produce hydrogen and/or methane. These are diffused into the blood stream and exhaled via the breath. Breath samples are collected every 20 minutes for 3 hours while performing the test, which can be done in the comfort of your home.

Hair Trace Mineral Analysis – It’s common knowledge these days that we live in a relatively toxic environment. Even if we do our best to avoid toxins in our household products, skincare and food, most of us have, at some point, been exposed to harmful chemicals or heavy metals (eg. those mercury fillings the dentist gave us as a child). Considering the mass production of food and ever decreasing soil quality, we also miss out on the quantities of beneficial minerals that our bodies need to function optimally.
HTMA is a safe and non-invasive functional test that measures the levels and comparative ratios of nutrients and toxic minerals found in the hair. Unlike blood testing, which can give us a snapshot of what’s up “right now”, hair tissue mineral analysis can indicate more long term and chronic exposure/deficiency. An excess of toxic metals and/or mineral imbalances in our body can aggravate many health conditions – minerals are the ‘spark plugs’ of life and are essential for growth, healing, and vitality.
HTMA testing can be particularly helpful in cases of chronic fatigue, migraines, mental health issues and situations where you feel you’ve tried it all but are still missing a piece of the puzzle!
That’s where The RCP monthly membership comes into play!
If you want to continue your healing journey past the 6 months in the program you can join the membership. This is when you pay month to month and are able to stick around and gain continued access to everything, including retest packages that aren’t available outside The RCP. You can purchase these retest packages inside the membership if/when you’re ready.
I do recommend supplements for you after you’ve completed your testing. It’s hard to make shifts in your health by diet alone. Cost of supplements depends on what health issues we have to work on together and what your test results show.
Please be prepared to make an investment in supplements but also know this: I will give you the best case scenario of supplements I suggest you take but we can prioritize them if budget is a concern.
I will lay out exactly what dose, brand, and where to purchase from. You’re free to purchase whatever you want, (all or none or just some) and from wherever you’d like.
I haven’t tailored this program specifically for vegetarians or vegans, and the recipes do include animal products. From past experience my clients who incorporate some animal products heal fast and have better results. When it comes to hormones, its important to have all the building blocks!
Vegetarians & vegans – you are of course welcome to join. I fully respect your choices, however, please know I wont customise recipes, but you’re welcome to adapt the recipes to your own preferences.
Some think that because The RCP is a group program they won’t get the support they need, but this couldn’t be further from the truth. In The RCP you get a huge amount of support between the one on one consultations, the Facebook group, and the group coaching calls. The community support inside The RCP of other ladies is invaluable to women and helps them succeed in their healing journey. Knowing some one else going through the same protocol as you can be really helpful in your healing journey!
We HIGHLY recommend you get a Facebook account or use a female family members’ in order to partake in The RCP. You can create a Facebook account with no photo and not “Like” any pages or “friend” anyone and only use it to participate in the program.
The private Facebook group is filled with incredible support, inspiration, and guidance and it’s the best place to get quick answers to questions that may pop up for you whilst you’re in the program as we don’t do private email support.
I am not a huge fans of strict diets inside The RCP however, depending on your test results you may need to go into a short term elimination diet to reduce symptoms & treat some nasty gut bugs.
I totally understand – time is often not our friend! That’s why I provide you with the resources, recipes, videos and support you need to make achieving your health goals as easy as possible!
Although I try to keep the recipes simple and family friendly, planning ahead is a must if you want to be able to follow your protocols AND not go hungry!
What I want you to consider is – How can you afford to NOT find time for your health!?
I don’t offer any refunds. Once you sign up you get instant access to the resources, so I’m not able to offer refunds for this program – but I know you won’t be wanting one anyway!
Yes you can – but we need to ensure you can access the lab testing in your country, so get in touch!
